CHALLENGE: Make the iBE vision, to recognize and showcase hundreds of independent beauty brands, a reality. Create a unique show identity in a competitive trade show space.
SOLUTION: Since 2015, 13 Designs has been the design and production partner to the New York Indie Beauty Expo. We have executed cohesive show looks through graphics, way–finding, signage, and seated environments—inspiring interaction with activations throughout the show floor. The two day event serviced exhibitors, guest speakers, participatory seminars, over 900 attendees each day, and created a notable show identity that stands far above the competition.Back
CHALLENGE: Make the ELLE 25th anniversary a page turner event that celebrates their luxe aesthetic and longevity as a style leader.
SOLUTION: Inside MoMA, 13 Designs fabricated oversized, turning book page sculptures to light the entry path. Additionally, we executed a captivating, layered video montage on the three story gallery wall as a stage backdrop. This event also showcased celebrity designed necklaces in custom display cases flanked by a gorgeous champagne clad wait staff.Back
CHALLENGE: Transport guests to 30+ unique locations around the world, all under one roof.
SOLUTION: 13 Designs spearheaded the design and production of the Travel & Leisure Global Bazaar initiatives, bringing the T&L curated best travel experiences from around the globe to one 20,000 sq. ft. show floor. This weekend event took place in NYC for two consecutive years, hosting over 15,000 attendees. We conceptualized and executed custom experiential environments for the 60+ luxury brands from around the world. These included American Express, Baume & Mercier, Boeing, Celebrity, Delta, Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces, Fujifilm, Infiniti, Seabourn Cruise Lines, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, as well as the countries of Fiji, Chile and Jordan, to name a few.. from aboriginal tribes to a zip line across the armory floor, this design literally spanned the globe.Back
CHALLENGE: Create an identity for the Johnson and Johnson Office of the Chairman, develop and produce a set of gifts that could be given on his behalf.
SOLUTION: Through referencing J&J’s historical packaging and assembling meaningful elements, we designed a timeless seal for the Office of the Chairman. This served to brand the OOC and create a recognizable mark to be attached to Johnson & Johnson's identity in perpetuity. The seal was then applied to a series of custom designed gifts and stationary; a lapel pin, paperweight, award, pen and custom toiletry/dopp kit. The gifting experience was complete with custom keepsake wooden boxes, branded tissue paper, ribbon and packing tape.Back
CHALLENGE: Design and produce a launch event on behalf of OLAY for the Chinese press.
SOLUTION: When China called, 13 Designs answered with a comprehensive NYC media launch event. Production elements from decor, branding, displays, floral, catering, A/V and staffing were all planned via a translator. Exuberant smiling by client needed not be translated.
CHALLENGE: Create a product and identity for a press that puts the face of Jesus on your sandwich.
SOLUTION: With nothing but an approved patent and a glorious dream, OMRgoods choose 13 designs to bring their vision to life and market. 13 designs developed a comprehensive identity for the brand as well as completed the R&D and technical production art that lead to the look, feel, and function of this miraculous machine.
